音楽を愛すDJ達が集う、東京発のサウンド・セッション[MELODY]。大好評だ った前回に引き続き、最新イベントが、11月9日金曜日に青山ZEROで開催される。今回はFwd Evr Release Party with DJ NATUREと題して、スペシャルゲストとしてDJ NATURE (fwd evr recordings/ Bristol,NY)を招いて、お届けします。加えてORIöN (Orgy Co. Ltd.)、HIROAKI MASUDA(CAUSE)、KOJIRO(FRAGMENT/VINTAGE NOISE)、YUKI TERADA(TREE)の5人。現在も都内各地でアンダーグラウンドなD J活動をし続ける先鋭メンバーが久しぶりに集結する。彼らにしか実現出来な いジャンルを超えた良質な音楽の連鎖が、至上の心地良さを生み出す。ファッ ションデザイン、音楽が密な関係でシンクロする、その瞬間こそがMELODYの サウンドコミュニケーションの醍醐味と言えよう。今回も忘れかけていた無意識に五感で楽しむという純粋でイノセントなパーティの本質を再認識させて くれるはず。May the MELODY be with you!
| DJ NATURE BIOGRAPHYブリストルにて世界にその名を轟かせたサウンドシステム・ユニットのメンバーとして80年代から活動を続ける伝説的人物のシークレット・プロジェクトDJ Nature。自身のアイデンティティーはポスト・パンク、ニューウェイヴ、ダブを中心にしつつも、映画Wild Styleの影響を受け、エレクトロ、ヒップホップへと傾倒。彼は音楽のクロスオーヴァー化の先駆者的存在であり、究極のミクスチャー・サウンドを創り上げたアーティストといえよう。その後、ニューヨークに活動の拠点を移し90’sハウスやディスコ・スタイルを継承すべく始めたDJ Nature名義では1992年にBlack Labelからアルバム『Ruff Disco』をリリース、更にUKのTomato recordsからも多数の楽曲を残し、一躍アンダーグラウンド・シーンの寵児に。その多大なる人気にも関わらずDJ Natureとしてのプロジェクトは一旦休止することになるが、20年後に突如として活動を再開。2010年のTop 10 Records of The Yearにノミネートされた「Everyone」を含む『Fwd Evr e.p』をGolf Channel Recordingsより発表、日本においてもJazzy Sportより、過去に自身の別名義でリリースしたアルバム『Suntoucher』をDJ Nature名義でリワークするという趣向に富んだ作品を発表している。そのスタイルはTheo Parrishなどのデトロイト・ビートダウン一派とも共振する漆黒のグルーヴ。2018年にはDj Natureが自身の新レーベルを始動しFWD EVR Recordings（Forward Ever）で、Above Board（UK)からリリースした。長い活動で熟成された濃密なサウンドを聴かせてくれるだろう。
In 1992 the Bristol (uk) born Dj Nature (then Nature Boy) began releasing underground house music on his own “Rough Disco” label out of NYC. Records that would be distributed internationally by Vinylmania record store of NY and played regularly by the likes of Dj Tony Humphries on his popular Kiss FM Saturday Night Dance party show. After a break from production at the height of the labels popularity Dj Nature returned to releasing music on Golf Channel recordings (New York) and Jazzy Sport (Japan) in 2010. Other releases would follow on Shubaka (Madrid) and Futureboogie recordings (UK) Rough Draft (UK) SWAT (UK) and Sound of Speed (Japan) With Kuniyuki Takahashi. His releases also include remixes for Detroit Swindle Artist Kassian ,Dicky Trisco, Spike, Debukas, Inkswell, Red Rackem, UCND (Japan), Daniel Kyo , Tyepsun , Nebraska and many others. 2018 sees Dj Nature has returned to releasing music on his own label FWD EVR recordings (Forward Ever) through distribution company Above Board (UK) . The label will give Dj Nature the avenue to spread his wings creatively as well as work with artist he respects very much .
